Time to speed up. The digitalization of the Polish economy

About the report:

Analysis of the digitisation of the economy in Poland compared to other European countries. The report discusses the progress in the digitisation of the Polish economy and society. The most likely scenarios for further digitisation are also presented, along with recommendations on how to improve the process of implementing new technologies.

Key conclusions:

  • The level of ICT technology development in Poland is comparable to that of other countries in the region with a similar wealth, but at the same time much lower than in the case of European leaders.
  • The national e-economy has a low share in GDP, similar to that of health care, but higher than that of mining or agriculture. The Polish financial sector is the most digitised of all sectors of the economy.
  • Poland is one of those European economies in which the digitisation process is the fastest. It ranks fourth on the continent in terms of the growth of Digitisation of the Economy Index and sixth in improving digital competences.

The report is also available in the Polish version.
