About the report:
The second edition of the ranking of the largest Polish companies of key importance for the economy. The main theme is innovation. The ranking of national champions was prepared on the basis of the proprietary index of national champions, calculated on the basis of data aggregated into four key categories: economy, industry, foreign and innovation. The report also presents recommendations on how to increase innovation, including how to strengthen cooperation between the world of science and business, and how to deepen the level of business confidence in public institutions.
Key conclusions:
- The report first describes what innovation is and how Poland and the European Union support the culture of innovation.
- Closer cooperation of universities and companies, public procurement promoting competitiveness, more intensive exchange of employees in science and business, stability of the regulatory environment and an increase in R&D expenditure in companies are examples of recommendations that will lead to intensification of the growth of innovation in Poland.
- The report awarded the most innovative companies: KGHM, PKN Orlen, Synthos, Asseco Poland, PGNiG, Comarch, Boryszew, Polpharma, Stalprodukt and Ciech.
